"LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL" - Abel Emmanuel (PRO -SU)

I want to warmly appreciate all students of our prestigious university, Benue state university, you've shown a great level of patience and commitment by not taking to the streets amidst the policy of 'no payment of school fees, no exams', but as God will have it there is light at the end of this tunnel too.

In today's interactive session between the university management and the students union, the president pleaded with the Vice chancellor stating the daily dwindling financial situation of the state considering that salaries have not been paid for months hence necessitating the need to allow students sit for the exams.

The synopsis of resolutions reached in today's meeting are.

-Every student will be allowed to write exams whether his financial obligation (school fees) is up to date or not.

-However, those whose financial obligation is not met will not assess their result.

- A form for pseudo registration will be handed to the various departmental heads for registration of courses for the defaulting students to authenticate their course registration and prevent issues that arise in compiling results.

-Owing to the fact that registration is the prerequisite for being a member of the university community, students who fail to register for the following semester will not be recognized as students of the university.
We implore all students of pay there school fees to enable the university run to prevent further strike actions from ASUU owing to the fact that the staff academic earned allowance is paid from the university's IGR whose major source is school fees

In a follow up to our campaign promises, the Chuwan Martins Tersoo led EXCO has ensured that classes that suffered from total
blackout for 1 others 2 and 3 years have been lit, giving the university a new look completely, this is a fulfilment of the mandate placed upon us as leaders with do much more in the pipeline.

- I wish the students writing exams the best of luck and a retentive memory in the course of this exercise.
We're committed to making students' union great again and all we ask for is your support.

Abel Emmanuel

Students' union.
