Comr. Antyu Joseph Terzungwe, a Presidential candidate from the Faculty of law in the ongoing Students Union Cabinet Elections, has conceded defeat in the Presidential poll ahead of the declaration of results for the Cabinet elections.
In a Phone interview the incumbent Secretary General of the Caretaker committee of the Students Union, BSU conceded defeat in the Presidential polls iterating that He was willing to work cordially with whoever emerges as the next Students Union President to move the Institution's Students Union forward. He further opined that Students Unionism and the passion for leadership should not be borne out of desperation for power but the disposition to serve in the interest of the electorate.
In Further discussions with Comr. Antyu, he called on his supporters and all other Students of the Institution to rally around the winners of the 2017 Students Union General to inspire the needed growth in her Students Union, “…the Students Union Elections we have witnessed, have indeed been freely and fairly conducted so we should accept the results, He said.”
Comr. Antyu Joseph Terzungwe is already receiving applause from all quarters across the University Community and beyond for setting this pace and his high sense of respect and devotion for the Peaceful conduct of what many have termed “Benue State University’s Most Outstanding Students Union Election”.
Also worthy of Note is the Fact that, Comr. Antyu has made History, as No Presidential Aspirant of the Students Union, Benue State University, Makurdi has before now conceded Defeat ahead of the Poll results in a General Election.
