BSU Students Desert Campus As Christmas Approaches

As Christmas approaches, students’ turn up to classes at Benue State University has become poor.

Our correspondent gathered that some of the classes yesterday could not hold due to the scanty population even though lecturers were ready. Report adds that, Mass Communication class for 300 level students which was supposed to hold at “Large Hall” could not due to the poor turn up; same as Sociology class for 200 level students.
Some of the students who spoke to our Correspondent said that, the Christmas break slated for 22nd December was behind the trend. One of them was Tyoule Emmanuel of Mass Communication Department.

His words: “Uni. Agric. Students are on break as I speak to you. Some of us, our places are far and so, we can’t travel around that 22nd December slated for the commencement of Christmas break in this festive period that roads are very busy. I don’t blame the students for the poor turn up. As for me, I have already taken permission from the course lecturer for tomorrow’s class, so am traveling now”.
The students therefore, pleaded that the school management time factor while planning next session’s academic calendar.
