My name is EJILOGO MICHAEL JOSEPH a.k.a Emic Jeezy, from Okpafie-Edumouga in Okpokwu LGA of Benue state. A 400 Level student of Social Studies Education. Born and attended primary and secondary school in Lagos. Speaks English, Idoma and Yoruba fluently. I am a Christian. Likes Music, Football, Blogging and playing online games.
for how long have you been a blogger?
I have been blogging for 5 months.
tell us more about your blog?
My blog name is Jeezitainment.blogspot.com, soon to be Jeezitainment.com.
it is a blog that shares information on Education, sports, politics, religion, relationship, events, jokes, life styles, entertainment and so on.
what motivated you to start blogging?
What motivated me to blog is the need to improve my writing skills and share my knowledge with people because I love teaching.
how do you handle blogging and academics?
Handling blog and academics is one of the most difficult task, especially for me being an education student. I just finished my Teaching Practice (TP) recently, going to teach and at the same time attending lectures, writing project and assignment combine with exams and blogging is very difficult but with the help of God, everything is moving in the right direction.
what are the key things a blogger should look out for?
Key things are:
(1)building a good relationship with other bloggers instead of seeing them as competitors, see them as potential allies to help you share your post, link and re-tweet your post, provide advice and so on.
(2) Foster strong relationship with your readers.
(3) avoid publishing fake things, nude and lies about people.
how would you define success as a blogger?
Success: when I post any information it is a success because of the hardship faced in doing that. The kind of audience i have developed internationally and locally is a success. Being recognized and receiving an award from Benue state university students office of Director of Socials recently in their annual Mr/Mrs BSU award night and pageantry as the best blogger on campus is a definition of success.
what has been your most embarrassing moment as a blogger?
Most embarrassing moment was when I wanted publishing a Breaking News and I could not do it because of poor network.
what are the challenges faced by bloggers?
Challenges are lack of finance, inadequate equipment like computer, phone and modern, Time constraint, bad network and lack of power (electricity).
what are your future plans as a blogger?
I want to make my blog to be a full time entertainment/information house. In doing that, I have also created a Jeezitainment TV in creating and shooting movies for viewers choice, and also partnering Kris World Media to teach other youths on how they can help themselves.
how do bloggers earn their income?
through Google Adsense, selling of advert space, selling of contents online, selling skills by creating blog and selling it, helping people to design their blog and so on.
what's your advice to upcoming bloggers?
post things that are true, don't criticize people to draw traffic, avoid posting explicit images like nudity and above all, do your things in your own way.
