Lecturers of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Benue State University (BSU) has finally suspended three month long strike action today.
A resolution passed by the lecturers to agreed with the state government arrangement to pay first three month.
Furthermore, the state government has assured that subsequent arrears of earned allowance will all be taken care off as it has authorised the University authority to pay monthly, from the University's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

▶AGREEMENT:
State Government pays three months EAA arrears immediately and pay the rest monthly.
▶STATUS OF STRIKE:
suspended
▶WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Strike will be considered called off as soon as the three months is paid, resumption date will be announced and the rest will be paid monthly.
▶THE FUTURE:
If there is default in completing the arrears by monthly payment even after the initial three months payment, strike will be resumed again.
▶NOTE:
Auspended strike means its CONDITIONAL!
