The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has begun registration for the 2016 batch b corps members. This batch will be expected to start their orientation on November 24, 2016.

The registration for NYSC Batch B, which kicked off , October 17, is already fraught with problems as many students said their universities have not fully uploaded their names.
Here are some things you should bear in mind as you keep trying to get registered:

1. Not all schools have uploaded

The message most prospective batch b members are getting while trying to register is this: “You cannot be registered. Your school has not fulfilled the mandatory document submission.”
This shows clearly that most schools are still in the process of uploading the names to the NYSC website and this has led to issues with the registration.

2. Passport size

The information on the NYSC website is specific about what size and type of passport to use. This was what was said: “Prospective corps members are to note that passport photograph size requirement to be uploaded during the on-line registration must be 2×2 with off-white background colour.
“Note that if the background does not conform to the standard, you will not be able to complete your on-line registration.”

3. Do not panic

Earlier, some people saw their names on the senate verified lists posted on the NYSC website. However subsequently the names were removed. This has led to panic among the prospective corps members. However the message from NYSC is this:
“All 2016 Batch B Prospective Corps Members who had earlier seen their names on the NYSC Portal, but can no longer see it, should not panic, it means their schools are still uploading because of approval given to them to upload additional records. Once the upload is completed, you will be able to check your names on the NYSC portal.
