Arising from the meeting between the Students Union Members (Cabinet & Parliament) With The management represented by  the Both the Dean & Deputy Dean of Students Affairs
The following issues where looked into with the aim of addressing same

*Locking of hostels and School Gates by 12pm

*Increment of Accommodation charges

*Election

*Autonomy of Departmental Associations

*Production and Issuance of  Students Identity Cards

After a heated deliberation that lasted for about 5hours the following resolutions where reach

1- The school access gates be locked by 12pm.
Though Students who wish to leave the school premises after the said time do so at there risk.

2- Students living on campus be allowed access to the hostels at all times upon provision of Identity Cards after 12midnight.

3- Departmental Associations be granted autonomy. When these issue came up for deliberation it was discovered that some Departmental Associations on campus example Mass Communication amongst others over the years had issues of Lecturers be it Exam Officer or Students Staff Advisers collecting dues meant for components  associations

The house resolved that forthwith no staff should at any instance collect dues for components associations.
Departmental Excos should be in custody of all funds accrued to the Association.
Where cases of embezzlement are established the persons involved wont graduate until he/she repays same. 
A communique signed by both management and the SU has been drafted and would be issued to all departments.

4- It was resolved that Students Identity cards be Issued to Students latest 4 weeks (1month) upon resumption.

The issue of Elections were differed to next week Wednesday when the two bodies meet for further discussions

This was where the management got lases from the Union Leaders The management proposed an increment in the levy currently paid for Hostel Accommodation.

Union leaders vehemently refuted the proposal.

When both parties could reach a consensus Union Leaders sought for time to consort their constituents.

Note. Students are the ones to proposed the said increment in terms of amount.

Here are some of the reasons for the proposed increment

1 . The has been a relative increment in the supply of goods and services as a result of increase in the exchange rate of the Dollar .

2.  The said Hostels would be given a face lift before students return from the break with relative upgrade in its component facilities.

3.  Due to poor health & sanitary conditions It was also resolved that 2 Students be allocated per room.

Students are by these notice requested to forward their stand on this issue to their various representatives.
